Krankies and stv Partner for Bingo

The Krankies dressed as giant bingo balls prove to be a knockout fomula for online bingo

(PRWEB) August 18, 2007 -- stv next week launches it's brand new on-air television advertising campaign for stv bingo, the broadcasters successful online bingo service. The quirky commercials feature one of the most famous double acts in entertainment, The Krankies dressed as giant bingo balls.

The adverts were produced by Glasgow based high-end commercial production business, Lucid. The team filmed six different executions (3 x 10 seconds and 3 x 30 seconds) during a one-day intensive shoot in Glasgow last week. The adverts will be broadcast on stv from Monday 20 August.

The creative agency behind the quirky adverts is award-winning agency, the Union. The adverts show the Krankies as balls in a bingo machine, watching computer users as they play online bingo. With witty lines and a dose of 'fandabidozie', they're not to be missed.

David Archer, Head of Ventures at stv said: "Our online bingo service is hugely popular across the country, with thousands of people logging on every day to play and chat. At stv we're developing further our online activities and bingo, which is fun and sociable, sits well with our brand. The Krankies were the perfect choice for this quirky campaign created by the Union and we're very pleased with all six executions produced expertly by Lucid."

The Krankies shot to fame in the 80's on TV shows such as Crackerjack, Krankie Klub and KTV, after treading the boards very successfully on stage throughout the 70s. Hugely popular on the pantomime front, the Krankies have headlined in every major theatre in the UK, and have played every major venue in Australia from Perth to Darwin.
