Global Traveler announces its new blog, updated daily and offering readers travel advice, insight, an more.

On June 26, Global Traveler launched its all-new, interactive blog. With daily updates, the blog allows GT staff to get personal with readers, sharing stories of their travels, providing travel tips and asking for the opinions and advice of their readers.

Every Monday, readers can take a peek into the life of Global Traveler publisher and CEO Francis X. Gallagher. Alexandra Young, associate publisher and vice president, plays "Where in the World is Alex?" every Tuesday. Wednesday welcomes the editorial voice of GT editor in chief Lisa Matte who shares thoughts prompted by current events or her recent experiences. Richard Evans, GT's well-traveled vice president, relives his humorous travel adventures, mishaps and thoughts every Thursday. On Friday, Kimberly Krol offers a newcomer's perspective to the world of business travel. Finally, the week ends with the words and experiences of Mary Hunt, editor of eFlyer. And, every so often, guest bloggers weigh in with a fresh perspective.

"The blog is an amazing way for our readers to get to know GT. By reading about and sharing in our personal experiences, the blog helps give the staff behind GT a face for our readers," said Francis X. Gallagher, publisher and CEO. "It even gives the fellow staffers a chance to get know each other better. We have received great feedback so far and look forward to continued response in the future."
