ADMET Introduces Quattro -- a Windows-Based Multi-Channel Digital Controller for Single Axis Dynamic Fatigue Testing

ADMET Inc., a provider of integrated materials testing systems, today introduced the ADMET Quattro, a Microsoft Windows-based multi-channel single axis digital controller for dynamic fatigue testing. It is available with the company's high-speed actuators and testing systems and for retrofits of other vendors' fast-acting electro-mechanical and hydraulic mechanical testing machines.

Norwood, MA (PRWEB) August 21, 2007 -- ADMET Inc., a provider of integrated materials testing systems, today introduced the ADMET Quattro, a Microsoft Windows-based multi-channel single axis digital controller for dynamic fatigue testing. It is available with the company's high-speed actuators and testing systems and for retrofits of other vendors' fast-acting electro-mechanical and hydraulic mechanical testing machines.

The ADMET Quattro, optimized for cyclic testing up to 30Hz, has been used in medical, biomaterials, plastics and metals testing applications. The Windows-based application program features a familiar menu and tab-based user interface that facilitates quick programming of an unlimited number of complete test routines.

The ADMET Quattro uses an embedded 32-bit high-speed ARM processor for data acquisition and control. A digital PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) filter allows for precise control of ramp and hold, sawtooth, sine, and square wave profiles. Standard with Quattro are force, position and two strain inputs. Control profiles, such as single channel cycling between force limits at a given force rate, or more complex multi-input profiles, can be easily programmed. Users can also modify the control gains and end points while the test is proceeding to ensure that the end point values are being met.

"The Windows-based ADMET Quattro high-speed digital controller is another product in our expanding portfolio of technically capable, easy-to-use systems. It has been used for advanced materials characterizations in biomedical, aerospace and military applications," said Richard Gedney, ADMET founder and president. "It joins a number of low-force tabletop, micro and micro electro-mechanical system testing frames, as well as other specialized digital controllers, grips and fixtures. Together, they make up a comprehensive set of offerings for advanced materials testing."

The ADMET Quattro high-speed single axis digital controller is available immediately directly from ADMET and through ADMET representatives. It requires a personal computer running Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, or Vista operating systems. Full specifications and requirements are available from ADMET. Pricing starts at $11,500.
