Single Tickets to Arizona Opera's 2007-2008 Season on Sale August 24

Single tickets for Arizona Opera's 37th Season will go on sale to the general public at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2007. The 2007-08 Season contains an exciting line-up of five popular yet diverse productions and runs from October 6, 2007 - April 27, 2008. Arizona Opera this season will stage Lucia di Lammermoor, Die Fledermaus, Gems: A concert of Opera Favorites, The Magic Flute and La Traviata in Phoenix and in Tucson.

Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona (PRWEB) August 21, 2007 -- Single tickets for Arizona Opera's 37th Season will go on sale to the general public at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2007. The 2007-08 Season contains an exciting line-up programmed by General and Artistic Director Joel Revzen. The season features five popular yet diverse productions and runs from October 6, 2007 - April 27, 2008. Revzen will conduct Gems, The Magic Flute and La Traviata. Cal Kellogg conducts Lucia di Lammermoor and Metropolitan Opera's Gareth Morrell conducts Die Fledermaus.

"It will be an exciting season that will appeal to the first time opera-goer and long time enthusiast alike," said Revzen.

Highlights include Metropolitan Opera star Stephanie Blythe returning to Arizona Opera as "Prince Orlofsky" in Die Fledermaus, soprano Emily Pulley making her company debut in the Gems conert and director Thaddeus Strassberger's enlightened production of Mozart's The Magic Flute. Sheri Greenawald from San Francisco Opera will make her Arizona Opera directorial debut with Verdi's La Traviata.

Tickets and Information

Single tickets can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets by calling 602.938.2787 in Phoenix or 520.321.1000 in Tucson or online at www.azopera.com. Tickets are also available by calling the Arizona Opera offices during regular box office hours, Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 602.266.7464 in Phoenix or 520.293.4336 in Tucson.

Single tickets for Arizona Opera's 2007 -- 2008 season range from $30 to $140.

Phoenix performances are at Symphony Hall, 75 North Second Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85004.

Tucson performances are at the Tucson Music Hall, 260 South Church Tucson, Arizona 85701-1614.

Evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and matinee performances begin at 2:00 p.m.

Arizona Opera is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit performing arts organization and the only professional producer of grand opera in the state of Arizona. It was established in Tucson 37 years ago and has grown to include a five-opera, October-April season in two cities.
