Halyard Education Partners, a leading interactive marketing and information services companies in the higher education industry, announced today the appointment of Mark Shay as Chief Academic Liaison. Mr. Shay had formerly been the founder and president of Educational Directories Unlimited, a subsidiary of Halyard Education Partners.
“It is Halyard Education Partners ambition to become the most trusted resource for colleges and universities that are seeking assistance connecting with students at any stage in their lifecycle—from lead to alumni,” said Steve Isaac, CEO of Halyard Education Partners. “Mark Shay, and the company he founded, have had a deep history of serving as that trusted resource and advisor to the higher education community. In his new position with Halyard Education Partners, Mark will be able to focus his energies on nurturing and expanding that role.”
With more than two decades of experience in the collegiate marketplace as one of the leading authorities in interactive marketing, Mr. Shay is best known for founding Educational Directories Unlimited (EDU). Started in 1995, EDU has produced a dozen popular Internet web portals, including GradSchools.com and StudyAbroad.com, which help prospective students with their search for further education. EDU has steadily grown into a vibrant market leader due in part to Mr. Shay's focus on serving the academic community and his adherence to the fundamental business practice of "service, quality and performance." EDU provides a full suite of recruiting services in the fields of graduate, international and adult education, and has been listed four times on the Philadelphia 100, four times on Inc. Magazine's Inner City 100, and once in the Inc. 500.
“This move is another demonstration of Halyard Education Partner’s commitment to the higher education industry,” said Mr. Shay. “Harnessing the knowledge, experience and best practices of all of the Halyard Education Partner’s companies and their clients, I will be in the unique position to help colleges and universities truly manage the student lifecycle.”
Marc Stormes, who was formerly the controller of EDU, will succeed Mr. Shay and become President of EDU managing all of the day-to-day operations of the company.
