iContact Adds Matt Allen as Director of Sales

Online communications company iContact brings in industry veteran to lead growing sales efforts.

iContact, the leading email marketing, blogging and online communication platform, has hired Matt Allen as Director of Sales. In his new role, Allen is responsible for leading iContact's growing sales force and managing the company's inside, enterprise, agency and large sender sales efforts.

Allen, who has more than 25 years of sales management experience, is charged with increasing lead generation and lead conversion rates as well as directing iContact's sales and account management staff.

"Matt has the expertise to help us to continue to grow our customer base," said Ryan Allis, CEO of iContact. "His hands-on leadership style fits in well with our collaborative culture and will inspire our staff to achieve even greater results."

Prior to joining iContact, Allen was CEO & President of Cartridge World. His experience also includes leading inside sales efforts at Red Hat and Cisco Systems.

Matt is a graduate of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. He and his wife, Lisa, have three children and live in Cary, NC.

iContact is continuing to add to its management team and is up to 65 employees. It currently has 13 openings in product management, web development, graphic design, customer service and sales. In March, iContact added Cindy Hays as Director of Human Resources to allow the company to scale to over 120 employees in the next 18 months.
