Not Me, Not Ever! -- An Abduction Prevention Program For Kids

Teaching kids to recognize, prevent and escape potentially dangerous situations.

Dunedin, FL (PRWEB) August 23, 2007 -- Over recent years the media has put the issues of child abduction and safety in the spotlight. Pick up a newspaper or tune into the nightly news and you are bound to hear about a missing child or abduction attempt. News stories like this have made us well aware of how important it is to ensure the safety of our children.

Ensuring the safety of our children goes beyond teaching them not to talk to strangers, they need to learn skills and confidence. The No! Not Me, Not Ever abduction prevention video does just that. The video is delivered to elementary school-aged children via The McGruff Safe Kids Total Identification System* program. It demonstrates important techniques for recognizing, preventing and escaping abduction. Statistics show that 60% of children who resist their attacker get away. The program teaches kids how to avoid dangerous situations, good action-bad action, how to respond if he/she is grabbed or attacked and the "secret password."

*The McGruff Safe Kids TID System is the only program licensed by the National Crime Prevention Council.

The system provides children and their families with:
1 - A full sized ID card that contains the child's 10 digital fingerprint images, color digital photo and vital personal information that would provide authorities with the single most useful tool in the recovery of a missing child.
2 - Two Laminated, Wallet Size ID Cards that contain the child's digital thumbprint, color digital photo and vital personal information.
3 - An optional DNA Collection Kit that will allow a parent to easily collect and store their child's saliva, (buccal swab), hair and blood samples.
4 - An optional CD ROM with all of the child's vital information. It includes a digital color photo with all ten forensic quality fingerprints. This information can be emailed anywhere in the country in a matter of seconds.
5 - An education program delivered through videos and lesson plans on numerous safety topics which include Abduction Prevention, Internet Safety, Bullying and more.
