About the author:
Anthony Gribin has been in private practice in psychology in New Jersey for twenty-five years. Born and raised in New York City, he received a B.S. from C.C.N.Y. and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Delaware, all in psychology. He has worked in the community with groups of police officers, nurses, teachers, probation officers and parents, which has bequeathed him a rather wide world-view of problems and their solutions.

Dr. Gribin has been widely published, but in the arcane field of "doo-wop" music (the vocal group sound of the 1950s). He comes by his interest in music honestly. His mother, Doris Tauber, wrote "Them There Eyes" a signature song of Billie Holiday, and "Drinking Again," one of Sinatra's paeans to alcohol. Dr. Gribin inherited his mother's interest in music but none of her talent. His magnum opus, if there is such a thing in that field, is "The Complete Book of Doo-wop," published by Krause in 2000 (with Matthew Schiff, M.D.).

Dr. Gribin's sense of humor permeates his writing. Combined with his affinity for numbers, heretofore totally useless, Gribin provides us with a unique view of the human thought process. Dr. Gribin is married, with 2.00 grown children.
