Movavi Adds New Tools to Free Online Video Conversion Service
Movavi Online now downloads, converts video from YouTube, MetaCafe, MySpace; features widgets for Facebook, iGoogle, MacOS and browsers.
Novosibirsk, Russia (PRWEB) August 23, 2007 -- Movavi today added new tools to Movavi Online, http://online.movavi.com, a web-based free video converter that enables users to download video and convert from one format to another - for sharing, podcasting, cellphones, iPods, and more - for free.
Where the first version of Movavi Online gave users the ability to upload
video stored on a PC, the service upgrade now also enables users to download YouTube videos, video from Google, MySpace, MetaCafe and other video-sharing sites.
Also, users are now able to download and watch Flash videos, convert video
from the Internet to AVI, MP4, MPG, 3GP and other formats for use with iPod,
iPhone, PSP, cellphone and other devices, and merge several videos into one
large movie.

Along with six existing widgets, all Movavi Online widgets easily embed a line of code with which bloggers, designers, developers, individuals and companies may offer video conversion services from their own Web sites, blogs, social networking pages and browsers.
As an online service, there is no software for users to install at the desktop. Instead, as webware, the service works with any Windows, Mac or Linux-based PC with access to the Internet via a Web browser. After identifying a video from YouTube, for example, or uploading a file from the hard disk of a notebook or desktop PC, users simply choose the desired output format, and provide an email address. When the conversion is complete, Movavi uses the email address to notify users when and where they can download their converted files. The process usually takes less than a day, and users may convert up to five 10-minute, 100MB clips during one session.
The service supports a broad range of popular video formats, including the advanced H.264 format used by Apple's new iPhone, AVI, MP4, MPEG 2 (PAL and NTSC), MPEG 4, iPod at 320x240, iPod 5G at 640x480, PSP, 3gp and 3gp2 for cellphones, MOV for podcasting, and FLV Flash video.
For users who want to do more with video, Movavi offers Movavi Video Converter, a $29.95 downloadable product that adds a range of additional conversion formats and lets users merge multiple video files into a single movie, rip DVDs, and extract soundtracks from video files.
