Lexington, MA and Burlington, MA (PRWEB) August 27, 2007
B*tween Productions, home of the Beacon Street Girls, and Zoë/Rounder Records, the record label for the tween musical group Girl Authority, today announced a marketing partnership. The two companies both provide positive media for preteen girls. Girl Authority songs are upbeat and uplifting with positive messages about teamwork and friendship that parents are happy to encourage their daughters to listen to. The Beacon Street Girls brand provides positive media and strong role models through its award-wining book series, website and line of gifts for girls.
"I can't think of a more natural partnership," said Addie Swartz, CEO of B*tween Productions. "We're both Boston-based companies with growing national presence in the tween market and both serve our audience of preteen girls with cool age-appropriate media."
"Girls enjoy the fun fictional world of the Beacon Street Girls and we've been enthusiastically welcomed into that world," said John Virant, president and CEO of Rounder Records. "As parents, we feel that the Beacon Street Girls are a brand that imparts the values we'd like to see in our daughters and as business people we see a unique opportunity to expand our brand visibility."
The two organizations have completed an initial round of cross promotions including a Beacon Street Girls insert in Road Trip, the Girl Authority CD released in March 2007, and a free song download available to readers of Maeve on the Red Carpet, the recently launched Beacon Street Girls Special Adventure book. Girl Authority was included as part of the book narrative as well, playing a concert that the Beacon Street Girls attend. Girl Authority has also been featured in the Club BSG newsletter to the tween readers of the Beacon Street Girls book series and as part of the online world.
Maeve on the Red Carpet (B*tween Productions, Inc. ISBN 1-933566-08-6, Annie Bryant, $7.99) is available in bookstores everywhere.
About Girl Authority
Girl Authority is a group of nine girls (ages 10-15) each with an individual "identity" that ties in with their personalities: Tarr (Rock-n-Roll Girl), Alex (Fashion Girl), Jacqueline (All-Star Girl), Carly (Glamour Girl), Jess (Boho Girl), Gina (Urban Girl), Crystal (Country Girl), Kate (Party Girl) and Zoë (Preppy Girl). They go to school, are Girl Scouts, cheerleaders, play sports, play instruments, have fun sleepover parties and…just happen to make hit records in their spare time (100,000 copies sold, and counting, of their eponymous 2006 CD).
