In order to be considered for an award, students with plans to attend college and pursue community service careers were required to submit applications that included not only outstanding academic achievements, but also civic accomplishments.

Following the students' submissions, the applications underwent a thorough review using criteria established by the Parrish Law Firm in conjunction with the guidance counselors of the Prince William County, VA and Manassas City School systems. Ultimately, the scholarships were granted to Tandeep Singh and Samantha E. Jones of Osbourn and Osbourn Park High Schools, respectively. Upon receiving word of their scholarships, both students expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation in letters to the Parrish Law Firm, which reiterated their desires to excel in their chosen areas of education.

As further evidence of the his pledge to education, James R.
