Press release about discount designer watch specialist Hot Watches relaunch of their website. Information about the relaunch and the company itself.

With the launch of this our first website we decided to carry out market research into how the consumer used the Hot Watches website to ensure that we were achieving our goal with the site. We found that many of our users although liking the design and the fresh look found the site difficult to move around so once we decided a rebuild on using the base of the original the consumer liked so much.

The internet has been a place where consumers come to find high street goods at less than high street prices, but is price all they are after? And with so many of the internet companies based in the South of England what is it like to launch an internet site in the North East?

Co owner Kris Headland originally launched Hot Watches in December 2006 its mission statement was to bring the feeling of boutique shopping to the internet. To bring a total buying experience similar to that found when you enter one of the company's high street stores in the North East to the internet and a global market place.

Kris, "It is true that price is a large issue on the internet with so much competition being just a click away prices are a key issue, however I do not believe price is the be all and end all of the shopping experience on the internet having a secure site offering free postage and packaging also important as they make the consumer feel safe to make a purchase and this we believe is key to success."

The vibrant and colourful site was an instant success with a great range of designer watches. So why rebuild what was working so well?

Kris, " With the launch of this our first website we decided to carry out market research into how the consumer used the Hot Watches website to ensure that we were achieving our goal with the site. We found that many of our users although liking the design and the fresh look found the site difficult to move around so once we decided a rebuild on using the base of the original the consumer liked so much."

The new site does still bare a great resemblance to the original site launch late last year what is it that has been changed?

Kris, "E-commerce websites need to be a simple yet effective to use. We have tried to create a site that is easy yet fun to use as well as informative to help every customer to make the right choice. We have also added greater security to the site which should make Hot Watches customers feel even safer as well as now offering a year's free insurance on all purchases which we feel is a massive advantage over our competition."
