Ben Cerullo, founder of the newly launched Ben Cerullo Crusades, today announced that he will lead a ministry crusade in Lima, Peru from September 6 – 8, 2007. The meetings will be held at the Dibos Coliseum beginning at 7:00pm. Doors will open at 6:15pm each evening. Hundreds of churches in Peru have already pledged their support to the crusade. More than 5,000 people are expected to attend each meeting.
“This crusade will bring the full demonstration of the miraculous power of God to the people of Lima, Peru,” said Cerullo. “The doors are open to people of all ages and faiths that need healing, deliverance, and salvation. This is going to be an awesome gathering that demonstrates the power of God and breaks the strongholds over the people in this city.”
In addition to the nightly meetings, “Believer’s Meetings” also will be held at the coliseum September 7 – 8 beginning at 9:00am. Doors will open at 8:15am each day. Cerullo said that the purpose of the meetings is to empower and equip the Body of Christ on a local level. “We want to encourage believers to walk in the purpose and power of God and take what the Lord gives them in the meetings to their nation,” said Cerullo. “All of the local churches are encouraged to participate.”
Named by Charisma Magazine as one of the “30 Emerging Voices” that will lead the church in the next decade, Cerullo used his action sports background to start the youth-culture ministry Steelroots in 2000. The ministry was one of the first to blend action sports and Christian music to reach youth and young adults. Under Cerullo’s leadership, Steelroots has grown to include: several television programs such as the flagship program “Steelroots -- The Show” and the Christian Hip-Hop program “Mixx Master’s Lounge”; an interactive website -- http://www.steelroots.com ; national action sports and music events; and “The Revolution,” a special program that focuses on equipping today’s youth.
In recent months, Cerullo stepped from in front of the cameras at Steelroots to expand beyond youth ministry to hold Ben Cerullo Crusades. The ministry will continue Cerullo’s passion and commitment to bring the Gospel to not only young people, but people of all ages and backgrounds throughout the nations of the world. Cerullo has ministered to thousands of people around the world with Christian leaders, including his grandfather Morris Cerullo, during crusades in Bogotá, Columbia; Maracaibo, Venezuela; Gabon, Africa; the Democratic Republic of Congo; Taipei, Taiwan; and Tabasco, Mexico.
