National Breast Cancer Foundation Launches New Website with Online Community for Survivors, Patients and Supporters

National Breast Cancer Foundation, a leader in breast cancer education and mammography funding, has launched a new web site created by Dallas based interactive agency, LevelTen Design. The site features the first online social network community of its kind for breast cancer patients, survivors and supporters.

Frisco, TX (PRWEB) September 4, 2007 -- National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc, a leader in providing breast cancer information and awareness through education, today announced the launch of their newly redesigned website, complete with a first of its kind online social network community for breast cancer survivors, patients, and supporters.

The new site was completed by LevelTen Design, a leading interactive agency in Dallas, and includes a way to contribute online to the foundation with eighty percent of all funds raised going directly to funding mammograms for women who cannot afford them, one of the non-profit's main focuses. Visual and functional enhancements to the site were designed to support the mission of the National Breast Cancer Foundation - increasing awareness and promoting education.

The site also features a blog by NBCF founder and cancer survivor Janelle Hail and a unique online community. Aptly named MyNBCF, the community is a social networking platform that allows breast cancer patients, survivors, and supporters to create a profile, upload their photos, connect with other individuals, and share their experiences about breast cancer.

"It is such an honor to work with National Breast Cancer Foundation," said Kayla Wren, Project Director for LevelTen Design. "I am excited that the MyNBCF community will be able to reach out to all individuals affected by breast cancer and provide a virtual support group for those dealing with breast cancer."

With the revamped website, NBCF will continue to lead the fight against breast cancer by increasing awareness through education and raising funds to provide free mammography services for women in need.
