Local e-Marketing Specialists Help SHARE 'Just Desserts' Fundraiser Taste Success

As part of their dedication to giving back to the communities in which they do business, Rhino Marketing participated as a Champagne Truffle lead Sponsor of the SHARE Just Desserts Gala. This charitable dessert-battle event held its second incarnation on March 29, 2007, at the Westwood Plateau Golf Club in Coquitlam, BC.

This charitable dessert-battle event held its second incarnation on March 29, 2007, at the Westwood Plateau Golf Club in Coquitlam, BC. Organized by the SHARE Society and emceed by inspiring speaker Peter Legge, President and CEO/Publisher of Canada Wide Media Limited, the contest to determine the best local dessert was a great success, raising over $30,000 for the charity.

The talented and dedicated folks at Rhino Marketing are accustomed to the sweet taste of success, both for themselves and for their clients, but now the local e-marketing specialists are savoring the flavor of an even more fulfilling kind of success -- the charitable kind.

"It is great to have Rhino Marketing join us as the lead "Champagne Truffle" Sponsor for our Just Desserts Gala," says SHARE's Selina Robinson of Rhino's involvement. "The Rhino team has provided more than just financial support for the event: Heather Morneau, their Community Relations Rhino, was a dessert judge in 2007 and for 2008 has joined the Just Desserts organizing committee. With Rhino's help, we were able to raise $34,000 to help fund ongoing programs like the SHARE Food Bank, early childhood learning activities, English Practice Groups for new immigrants and other community programs that engage people and reduce isolation in the Tri-Cities."

In addition to a live and silent auction (which included such treasures as a Roberto Luongo jersey), 50/50 raffles, door prizes and musical entertainment, the lucky judges got to sample the sweet treats provided by the culinary wizards at Craig's Café, Hazards, the Backstage Grille at the Boulevard Casino, Pasta Pollo, Jameson's Newport Restaurant, Wilbur and Sebastian's Bistro, and the Pacific Rim Grille. Rhino Marketing's own Community Relations Rhino, Heather Morneau, was one of the judges blessed with the difficult task of choosing a winner.

"We have been blessed over the years as our clients have prospered, allowing us to give more back to both the local and global community.
