Pittsburg, CA (PRWEB) September 6, 2007
Shocase Networks, Inc. announced today the launch of enhanced privacy features and their all new Collections system, a link indexing and search tool for the Shocase.net social networking website.
Unlike conventional search engines, this addition allows members of the site to add links to their own content so they can be searched by anyone on the internet. In addition to spam-free searching, it also tracks click-throughs to show members how much traffic is being directed to their content by Shocase.net.
Shocase.net is a specialized social network platform that was designed to be a safer alternative to sites like Myspace. In addition to common features, such as picture sharing, blogging and contact lists, it provides its members with an array of tools to control who is and is not allowed to access their content, thereby greatly reducing their risk to online predators. Besides being able to choose from preset privacy models to make their profile public, private, or limited to people in their contact list, members can specify a number of filtering options including name, age, gender, and location, as well as blocking or allowing lists of specific members.
These privacy features are further expanded into the photo album and contacts modules. Contacts can be grouped into categories (eg. friends or family) which grants them access to any photo albums that have been set to be viewable by these groups. A photo album can even be set up to only be accessible to a specific list of contacts. This gives members of Shocase.net a level of privacy control previously unheard of in the social networking industry.
