Quick turnaround for high-volume mailings with personalization.

It was in 1993 when Progressive Impressions International (Pii) developed one of the first technology based ordering systems that allowed insurance and brokerage clients to manage marketing campaigns for their agent workforce. A pioneer in using and developing personalization and one-to-one techniques, they have grown to be a one-stop-shop solution for customer relationship management.

Today, with the benefit of more than a decade of technology enhancements, Pii continues to focus on delivering measurable results to clients through a suite of customer relationship management solutions, which include: consultation; database management/analysis; full creative services; Web management tools; inbound sales and order taking; digital and offset production; fulfillment and mailing services; analytics and market research. Pii's clients are among the largest and most well-known brand names in the world served by staff in Bloomington, Illinois, and Pompano Beach, Florida.

In keeping with their desire to forge the way in digital printing technology Pii has acquired five Nuvera 288 Perfecting System printers from Xerox. With each machine turning out 288 duplex impressions per minute (A4/letter-size paper), Pii gains a 15 percent or greater edge in productivity compared to other sheet-fed digital printers.

Ideal for rapid production of large-scale mailings, brochures and other projects with variable content, this equipment uses unparalleled speed, digital personalization and near-offset print quality to set higher industry standards for speed and quality.

"We're excited about offering an increased level of service to customers," said Pii President Jamie Huff. "The new equipment gives us the ability to deliver big jobs in a short time frame, and the image quality is as close to offset as we have seen in the digital space. It not only enhances our overall solutions, but allows our customers to push their ROI envelope."

With image resolution up to 4,800 dots per inch (dpi) x 600 dpi, Nuvera 288 printers offer the sharpest reproduction of any monochrome digital print production system. Photos and graphics hold onto original image quality exceptionally well, and printed pages have a smooth, reader-friendly matte finish.

"Smart marketers already understand the power of personalization in direct mail and its positive effect on ROI," said Huff. "New technology allows us to deliver that personalization, faster and with higher quality than ever before."

Pii's Nuvera printers are configured for average monthly production of 3 million pages per machine (6 million maximum). This is in addition to existing Pii production capacity, which includes the roll-fed Océ 7550 Twin VarioStream system and four Xerox DocuPrint 6180 printers set up for in-line booklet making. For full-color production, Pii runs two Xerox DocuColor iiGen3TM printers, the industry's most advanced color digital presses.
