Crane & Co., makers of fine stationery since 1801, has been awarded Best in Category for an engraved holiday card at the International Engraved Graphics Association Conference.
Crane's "Gilded Palm," a multi-colored engraved palm tree on Flame Red Paper, won in the 100% engraved category. Crane was also awarded Certificates of Excellence for "Three Ornaments," "Bonsai" and "Party Penguins," all engraved at Crane's Personal Design Services.
The IEGA contest is an annual competition to recognize and honor companies for outstanding merit and distinction in the design, creation and production of engraved stationery.
"We are thrilled to once again be recognized for excellence by our peers in the industry," said Anita D. Brady, vice president and general manager of Crane's Social Stationery Division. "It is a great testament to the quality and attention to every detail by our visionary artists and our outstanding engravers."
Crane has been a perennial winner in the IEGA competition. The walls of Crane's Art Department proudly display dozens of winning entries from years past. "We are constantly reminded of the skill and craftsmanship of those who came before us," said Brady. "And it prompts us to keep raising our standards to meet the expectations of a new generation of Crane customers."
