Atlanta-based Fizz will provide word-of-mouth marketing for WheyUP, a revolutionary new sports beverage, through product demonstrations and sampling programs in New York City and South Florida areas.

WheyUP LLC, makers of WheyUP the Original Protein Drink with Energy, signed a deal with Atlanta-based Fizz in which Fizz will become WheyUP's word-of-mouth marketing agency of record. In conjunction with WheyUP's national launch, Fizz will implement marketing campaigns in key markets across the country using Fizz's industry leading brand building techniques.

"We're excited to be partnering with a successful marketing firm like Fizz," said Erik Rothchild, the creator and co-founder of WheyUP. "They have a proven track record of promoting new beverages that create a real buzz in the community, which ultimately leads to product success."

Fizz provides award-winning campaigns for the beverage industry. The focus at Fizz is to identify customers and potential customers most likely to talk about a brand and then use creative tactics to encourage communication. It's called "Influencer Marketing" and it is one of the most effective techniques available to emerging brands.

"We are thrilled to be associated with a cutting edge company like WheyUP" said Ted Wright, the founder of Fizz. "Erik and his team have created a category killer beverage and we are very pleased to have been chosen to help them build their national presence."

WheyUP, the first product of its kind that combines a protein drink with an energy drink, will be sold nationally at GNC's top 200 corporate stores in late September 2007. WheyUP combines 20 grams of whey protein with an energy formula in a sugar-free, non-carbonated beverage. WheyUP will be offered in wild berry and tropical citrus flavors in new ready-to-drink 16-ounce plastic bottles. Previously, the sports beverage was sold in 16-ounce cans in the Phoenix test market.

The fitness industry recommends consuming a minimum of 20g of whey protein prior to working out. Many individuals are also seeking a boost of energy to intensify their workout. With WheyUP, getting energized and adding healthy protein to a diet has never been easier.

WheyUP is targeted toward health-conscience individuals and fitness enthusiasts. It is ideal for fat-loss programs, exercise programs, weight-training programs, athletic activities, and as part of a healthy, active lifestyle.

"With 20 grams of protein, zero fat and only 1 gram of carbs, WheyUP is the perfect drink for people on carb-conscience diets," Rothchild said. "It's a great way to add protein to your diet and energy to your day."
