Company releases first photos of new MS Swiss Sapphire, construction on-schedule for early 2008 launch.

Tauck World Discovery is again expanding its portfolio of European river cruises by adding two new itineraries slated to debut next spring. Along with the new cruises, Tauck is boosting its total number of published river departures by 36% for 2008 and taking delivery of its second all-new riverboat in two years.

Tauck's two new river cruise itineraries are "The Rhine And Moselle" (13 days, from $4,290 plus air), and "Prague To The Black Sea" (20 days, from $7,290 plus air). "The Rhine And Moselle" begins in Basel, Switzerland and proceeds to Strasbourg, France before exploring Baden-Baden, Heidelberg, Koblenz, Cochem and other towns and villages in Germany. The itinerary also includes a visit to Luxembourg (where Tauck guests enjoy lunch in a 12th-century castle), and shore excursions in the Netherlands highlighted by a full day of sightseeing and cultural experiences in Amsterdam.

"Prague To The Black Sea" combines two popular Tauck river itineraries, "The Blue Danube" and "Budapest To The Black Sea." The package begins with a three-night hotel stay in Prague, before guests begin their 14-day Danube River cruise in Regensburg, Germany. The voyage highlights towns and villages in Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania, and concludes with a two-night stay in Bucharest at the five-star Athenee Palace Hilton.

Like every Tauck river journey, the two new itineraries are virtually all-inclusive. No options are sold on Tauck river cruises, and each journey includes all shore excursions, gratuities, transfers, onboard lectures and entertainment, and wine with dinners.

"The Rhine And Moselle" will feature Tauck's MS Swiss Diamond, while guests on "Prague To The Black Sea" will sail aboard either the MS Swiss Emerald or the new MS Swiss Sapphire. Tauck has just released the first photos of the Swiss Sapphire, which is under construction in the Netherlands. The ship will feature 59 outside-facing staterooms, including 14 luxury suites with 300 square-feet of living space. All cabins will have a plasma TV, mini-bar, radio, safe, air conditioning and L'Occitane toiletries.
