Macresource Fulfills UK Demand for Training Course on Microsoft Project VBA Programming

Macresource Computer Solutions, a London-based IT training company, has announced that it will be offering three new public courses on Microsoft Project. A two day course on Project VBA programming and two intensive one week courses aimed at new users needing to gain significant mastery of Microsoft Project in the shortest possible time.

London, UK (PRWEB) September 6, 2007 -- Macresource Computer Solutions (www.macresource.co.uk) today announced the addition of three new public courses on Microsoft Project, Microsoft's widely-used project management software, including a two-day course on Project Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

Microsoft Project VBA Programming is a two day tutor-led course aimed at experienced users of Microsoft Project who wish to automate their project management workflows.

A lot of the tasks performed in Project consist of a set series of steps: for example, producing a weekly report comparing scheduled and actual performance. These tasks are examples of activities which can be streamlined by creating VBA macros.

"Delegates attending this course will gain a good basic familiarity with the Microsoft Project object model," says course developer Andy Whiteman. "The course begins by showing users how to record macros and then edit the code that Project generates in the Visual Basic Editor. It then moves on to look at writing VBA code using typical programming structures."

Macresource's second new offering on Microsoft Project is a challenging five day fast-track course designed for new users who will be using Microsoft Project intensively in their work and need to get fully up to speed on the product as quickly as possible.

The first two days of the week-long course provide an introduction to the core features of Microsoft Project. Users will learn how to define projects, enter task and resource information, create schedules, constraints and dependencies, input actual information, track performance and produce reports.

Day three of the course moves on to look at more advanced features like resource pooling and the division of large projects into sub-projects. Delegates will also be shown how to create their own custom filters, groups, calculated fields, tables, views, WBS codes and Project templates.

The last two days of the Microsoft Project One Week Fast-track consist of the new Microsoft Project VBA Programming course described above.

Thirdly, Macresource Computer Solutions' Microsoft Project One Week Fast-track will also be available as a residential course at their training centre on the outskirts of Paris.

The prices of the three new courses will be as follows:
Microsoft Project VBA Programming (2 days): £550, plus VAT
Microsoft Project One Week Fast-track (5 days): £1,095, plus VAT
Microsoft Project One Week Fast-track Residential (5 days): £1,695, plus VAT

Macresource Computer Solutions is an established, independent computer training company offering an innovative range of IT training courses at their training centre in London and throughout the UK.
