Arlington, VA (PRWEB) September 7, 2007
LuckYaya today announced that it has partnered with the Animal Welfare League of Arlington (AWLA) to help raise awareness about the plight of homeless and suffering animals. The campaign is called "Wear a Pet to Save a Pet", and it encourages pet owners to wear a LuckYaya photo crystal to show their support for animals in need. In addition, a portion of the sale of each photo crystal will be donated to the AWLA.
LuckYaya's signature product, the LuckYaya Photo Crystal, is very popular with pet owners. The photo crystal is created through an innovative process whereby a full-color image is captured within a high-quality clear crystal pendant or charm. It is perfect for pictures of pets, and Rachel Greenberg, co-owner of LuckYaya, often wears a photo crystal pendant of her cat JoJo.
"My husband and I adopted all three of our cats from the AWLA. This organization has brought us so much joy, and we can see how much joy our customers get from the photo crystal, so we created a campaign that combines the two," she says.
For every photo crystal sold on its website, LuckYaya will donate $1 to the AWLA. The campaign will run for the next six months, with the ultimate goal of raising $1,000. For perspective, $1,000 will allow the AWLA to do all of the following: buy 100 lbs. of dog food, subsidize the adoption of 4 dogs by senior citizens, perform 5 evaluations of dog behavior prior to adoption, and spay/neuter 5 cats.
"The League is looking forward to working with LuckYaya on this campaign. It is fundraising efforts like these that enable us to continue our important work with animals in the community," says Kay Speerstra, Executive Director of the AWLA.
LuckYaya will spread the word about the campaign through its affiliate program, which is a group of happy customers who act as sales reps for the company simply by wearing their favorite photo crystal everywhere they go. In addition, these sales reps can have a portion of their individual sales go to a shelter of their choice, thus giving the campaign a broad reach while maintaining the personal, local feel.
Kathy Tarochione, an affiliate in Harrison, AR, expressed her enthusiasm for the new campaign. "As the owner of a photo collage business, I am excited to work with LuckYaya to promote the photo crystal; and as a 35 year volunteer for animals and co-operator of 'Rescuing Rover', I am proud to be involved with such a great campaign."
