Colorado Cosmetic Surgeon Reports Growth In Mommy Makeovers

As women postpone the timeframe for having children, they are finding weight isn't their only concern after their last child is born. In many cases, it's also attempting to recover the way their body looked and felt before childbirth as well.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) September 7, 2007 -- According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, "Mommy Makeover" procedures have seen an 11 percent rise over the past year. And that rate will continue to climb, according to Dr Jeremy Williams.

As women postpone the timeframe for having children, they are finding weight isn't their only concern after their last child is born. In many cases, it's also attempting to recover the way their body looked and felt before childbirth as well.

"Women of today may be waiting until their 30's or even 40's to have children," stated Dr Williams, cosmetic surgeon and expert. "After their children are born, they have the desire to return to their busy lifestyles, and to return to their pre-pregnancy shape."

Though many try the standard diet and exercise routine, sometimes it just isn't enough. Which is why more women are turning to their cosmetic surgeons for help with returning to their pre-pregnancy shape.

"A mommy makeover is more than sculpting a woman's body and helping her improve her looks. It's also about restoring her youthful personality, and giving her the energy and desire to become more active," stated Dr Williams. "And as women continue choosing to have later in life, they will also continue to remain as young as possible - with a little help."

A mommy makeover isn't one prescribed procedure. Instead, it's customized to give you your desired results. It may include:

  • A Botox treatment to soften the tiny lines and wrinkles around your eyes or on your forehead.
  • Eyelid surgery to permanently remove the sagging that occurs around your eyes.
  • A facelift to reduce the aging process caused by stress.
  • Breast enlargement, breast reduction, or breast lift to give your figure a new look.
  • A tummy tuck to reduce the excess fat that just doesn't seem to go away with exercise.

"Your looks and your self esteem go hand in hand. In many cases looking younger will help you feel better, allowing you to become more active," stated Dr Williams. "Mommy makeovers are a way to quickly get back to a body reminiscent of the days before kids."
