Internet television innovator, Pax Stereo Tv, has announced new Latino channels featuring Reggaeton, Urban Bachata and regional Mexican programming. Additional features include consumer uploaded media, widgets, and mobile phone integration. Stats show doubling of visitors and increasing length of visits since launch.

Following up on previously announced intentions, Pax Stereo Tv (http://www.paxstereo.tv) has recently expanded on it's Latino (http://www.paxstereo.tv/neolatino.htm) and Reggaeton (http://www.paxstereo.tv/reggaeton.htm) channel listings, citing diversity and quality as the programming keys.

"We are continuing to embrace our growing community of those whose needs are not being met by the traditional media outlets," says CEO and founder Mario Hemsley. "And they are also embracing us."

Urban Bachata and regional Mexican programs are also available, as these newcomers are seemingly quicker to embrace opportunities now taking root on the Internet. Victor Allen, Program Director for the Pax Stereo NeoUrban Internet Television Network puts it this way, "They are hungrier. And necessity has always been the mother of invention." Mario adds, "Besides, we offer true innovation with an eye toward continual change and evolution. No one is trying to do what we are doing."

This does seem to be something different. Every channel has social networking features which allow fans to join up and upload their own audio, photos, and video. Pax Stereo TV openly encourages artists and visitors to promote themselves, and even offers instruction.

"We now offer specific programming on how to best make use of our growing community, our How To Use Us page (http://www.paxstereo.tv/howtouseus.htm) can get you up and running very quickly," said Mario.

Mario stresses the true potential of the channels is realized when artists are actively involved and blog or "micro-blog" with fans. "For those who demand a high level of interaction with the channels, our technology allows artists to cut into broadcasts with announcements instantly from wherever they are via DSL, Wi-Fi or broadband connections. You can also micro-blog with Twitter easily, and it only allows 140 characters. This is something currently very popular throughout the social networks, and these types of efforts are cutting edge," he said.

Billboard Magazine recently revealed that Talib Kweli has made his first Top 10 chart entry due to similar efforts, quoting website traffic increases of 3000%. "Pretend we're not here, you still have to do this," Victor explains. "We just make it a whole lot easier." He points to the MySpace AutoConnect widget which automatically updates with any artist changes on their MySpace profiles. "We work hard to make it easy, we are the Nu new."
