Chuao Chocolatier Debuts at National Confectioner's Association 2007 All Candy Expo

Chuao Chocolatier, San Diego's premier artisan chocolatier, will debut their expanded everyday chocolate line at All Candy Expo from September 17th through 19th at McCormack Place in Chicago, Illinois in the show's new Gourmet Marketplace.

Relative newcomers to the specialty and conventional grocery business, Chuao Chocolatier is best known for their chocolate cafés located throughout San Diego, California.

The company was founded by Venezuelan brothers Richard and Michael Antonorsi, who named the company Chuao Chocolatier after the legendary cacao-producing region of Chuao (pronounced chew-WOW) located in central Venezuela and in homage to their ancestors. The Chuao Chocolatier cafés feature premium artisan confections made with pure Venezuelan chocolate and all natural ingredients that range from bonbons to distinct hot chocolate creations.

"We've had tremendous success in our cafés," says Michael Antonorsi, Master Chocolatier and Chef. "But I wanted to share our chocolates with more people so they could experience what we call The True Taste of Chocolateā„¢. It's an experience that goes beyond just eating chocolate and moves you to the perfect balance of spices and other fresh, natural ingredients. Debuting at All Candy Expo will be Chuao Chocolatier's everyday gourmet chocolate line created especially for grocery and specialty retailers. The complete line, from single-serve chocolate confections to bars and sipping hot chocolates, was designed to help consumers incorporate Chuao Chocolatier's unique approach to flavors into their daily chocolate habits. Featured at the show will be the new ChocoPod grab & go container, Winter hot chocolate and percent chocolate bars.

"Previously, the All Candy Expo has been focused on just candy," says Richard Antonorsi, CEO. "With the expansion of the Gourmet Marketplace and the industry trend towards premium chocolate experiences, we felt it was the right time to further venture into the category and participate in the show."

On display and available for sampling at All Candy Expo will be their complete gourmet chocolate line. Additionally, attendees will be able to hear from Chef Michael Antonorsi at a panel discussion about "Capitalizing on the Hottest Trends in Premium Chocolates" on Tuesday September 18th at 2p.m.
