Infor ERP SyteLine customers can drive sales, improve order accuracy and reduce costs with BuyDesign Configurator.

TDCI, Inc. (TDCI), a leading provider of guided selling and configuration software, today announces that its BuyDesign Configurator is now available from Infor as an integrated component within Infor's new release of Infor ERP SyteLine 8.0, launched this week at Inforum 2007, Infor's annual global user conference. The integrated solution provides Infor customers with an advanced product configurator, enabling them to increase revenue while improving efficiencies by reducing order processing time, cost, and errors.

BuyDesign Configurator is a powerful product configuration engine which can be deployed via the web, or as part of either server or desktop-based software applications. Developed on the Microsoft technology platform, it is a component of TDCI's BuyDesign Guided Selling and Configuration solution suite.

Companies already deploying BuyDesign Configurator and other BuyDesign applications with Infor ERP solutions in a variety of industries include:

  • Genmar Holdings, Inc. - manufacturer of Four Winns and other well-known premier boat brands.
  • National Woodwork, Inc. - manufacturer of quality made wood and clad window units.
  • Rollx Vans - a leading manufacturer of conversion vans for physically challenged individuals.
  • Lamons Gasket Company - one of the largest gasket and bolt suppliers in the world.
  • Nautic Global Group - parent of Rinker Boats and Godfrey Marine, manufacturers of several leading recreational boat brands.
  • S2 Yachts - manufacturer of Tiara Yachts and Pursuit Boats cruising and fishing boats.
  • Temtrol Inc. - leading manufacturer of custom HVAC/air handling equipment.

"The ability to dynamically configure our products is a key aspect of our business strategy," stated Andy Halko, Temtrol Inc. Controller. "We are very excited about the configuration capabilities BuyDesign gives us within SyteLine."

"Our customers need robust configuration tools which enable them to improve profit margins and drive efficiency throughout their organizations," said Jeff Ralyea, Infor Vice President of Product Management. "We selected BuyDesign Configurator as our next-generation configuration engine because of its flexibility, ease of use, and ease of integration."

"We are very pleased to have Infor as a partner," said Dan DeMuth, TDCI President. "In addition to giving TDCI greater market reach, the fact that Infor is now selling BuyDesign Configurator to both manufacturers and distributors aligns with our vision of helping all levels of the supply chain share common product information and configuration processes."

As announced earlier in the year, TDCI and Infor have entered into an OEM agreement whereby Infor will sell TDCI's BuyDesign® Configurator as an integrated component of Infor ERP SyteLine, Infor ERP SX.enterprise and Infor eStorefront. Infor offers the integrated component through the company's direct sales force and partner network. TDCI also sells extended BuyDesign applications to the Infor customer base. Other BuyDesign applications provide capabilities such as configuration-based interest generation (e.g. a web site build-your-own application), requirements capture (e.g. an intelligent product catalog for AutoCAD), quoting, ordering, and various forms of 2D and 3D product visualization.

TDCI is an Inforum exhibitor, and is demonstrating extended BuyDesign solutions, including BuyDesign Build-Your-Own, BuyDesign Spec-In, and BuyDesign Channel Sales in booth #509.
