New York, NY (PRWEB) September 11, 2007
Opt-Intelligence Inc. (http://www.opt-intelligence.com), a leader in the rapidly growing opt-in advertising space, today announced that Paul Fusco has joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer. In this newly created position, Fusco will oversee all revenue-generating activities of the company and work with the rest of the executive management team on strategy and execution.
Fusco, a seasoned executive with 20 years in the publishing and Internet arenas, and a 10-year veteran of Ziff Davis, most recently was Vice President at Oberon Media in New York.
While at Oberon, a leading publisher and distributor of casual games and white-label game center solutions, Fusco headed up North American partnerships and global advertising. During his tenure, Oberon's revenue grew dramatically, while he and his team managed partnerships with leading sites including Microsoft, EA's POGO, Comcast, Verizon, Harrah's Entertainment, IAC, NBC and Playboy.
"We are very pleased and excited that Paul has joined our team," said Dan Felter, CEO of Opt-Intelligence. "His unique experience and leadership skills are a perfect fit for our company given where we are and where we want to go. The addition of Paul to our executive team is a key component on our path to become the undisputed leader of opt-in advertising."
Said Fusco, "Opt-Intelligence is way ahead of the curve with respect to opt-in advertising. The marketplace is just beginning to understand what this is, as publishers are seeking additional revenue streams and advertisers seek improved and sustainable ROI. OI has been proving the concept for the last four years. They have done it quite profitably and with the highest regard for industry best practices."
Fusco joined Ziff Davis Publishing in 1988 and held various management positions, including Director of Sales and Marketing, Central Advertising Sales, and later was named National Director of Sales for NetBuyer.com. In 1997 he left Ziff Davis to be co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Desktop News Corporation, which enabled custom content delivery to the desktop via Internet and Intranet models with revenue derived from licensing and advertising.
In February 2004, Fusco returned to Ziff Davis as Executive Director of the company's games group, 1UP.com, one of the first online editorial and social networking sites for PC and video gamers. He built and managed the online advertising sales team and oversaw ad operations and strategy, sponsorships and business development partnerships.
Opt-Intelligence runs the leading, global opt-in advertising solutions platform built on its own proprietary technology. OI offers a variety of opt-in products and placement options, including co-registration, post-registration banner, poll/survey and video overlay. These options, coupled with OI's "optimization," yield maximum revenue for publishers and ROI for advertisers. Publishers in the OI network include Travelport (Orbitz & Cheaptickets), Monster.com, Ediets.com, Rodale, the American Media magazine properties and many others. Advertisers using the network to generate opt-ins include Circuit City, eBay, Nokia, Procter & Gamble, HP and many others.
