Acute Injury & Illness Center Announces Opening Date of Parker Urgent Care

The Acute Injury and Illness Center (AIIC), the adult and pediatric urgent care center in Highlands Ranch, announces its plan to open a second clinic in Parker. The new Parker urgent care center will open at 7am on Saturday September 29th. The clinic is located at 10345 S. Park Glenn Way, which is visible from S. Parker Road 0.5 miles south of Lincoln Avenue.

The Acute Injury and Illness Center (AIIC) opened its first urgent care center in Highlands Ranch in 1997; it will be opening its second clinic in Parker, Colorado at 7am on Saturday September 29th, 2007. AIIC currently sees a large number of patients from the Parker area at its clinic in Highlands Ranch and is therefore pleased to offer these patients the convenience of a new, state-of-the-art, clinic in their own neighborhood. The new Parker urgent care center will offer the same high quality walk-in medical care that AIIC is known for in Highlands Ranch.

The new Parker clinic will be equipped with digital (computed radiography) x-ray and a laboratory and will be staffed by Board Certified Physicians all of whom have gained urgent care experience working in AIIC's Highlands Ranch clinic. The Parker clinic will be open from 7am to 9pm Monday through Friday, and from 7am to 6pm on weekends. AIIC treats adults and children, and sees all patients on a walk-in / no appointment basis; AIIC accepts most major insurance plans.

Commenting on the new Parker urgent care location, Karen Polsky M.D., medical director of AIIC, said:

"We currently see a large number of patients from the Parker area in our clinic in Highlands Ranch. Over the years many of these have patients have encouraged us to open a clinic in Parker. When we found a good location in Parker we jumped at the opportunity to open a clinic there. The new clinic is visible from S. Parker Road about 0.5 miles south of Lincoln; it is accessed from S. Park Glenn Way and Plaza Drive and is right beside the Parker Healthcare Center."

The Acute Injury & Illness Center provides high quality, convenient, time-efficient urgent medical care on a walk-in basis. Urgent Care is an acute care service for non-life threatening injuries and illnesses such as fractures, lacerations, sprains, respiratory illnesses, sore throats and ear or skin infections. All limb or life-threatening injuries and illnesses should be evaluated in the emergency department of one of the local hospitals.

AIIC opened in 1997 and was the first specialized urgent care center in Douglas County. AIIC provides adult and pediatric urgent care, flu shots, sports physicals and occupational medicine. AIIC employs Board Certified Physicians including physicians certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Family Medicine. AIIC is open 365 days of the year, opening from 7am to 9pm during the week, and 7am to 6pm on weekends. All visits are on a walk-in / no appointment basis.
