Ariadne today announced that Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine has licensed and deployed its Pathway Studio Enterprise software. Pathway Studio Enterprise is used for pathway and microarray data analysis, and also for experiment data storage and a reference database for functional relations in human, rat and mouse.

"Kyoto University has chosen Pathway Studio Enterprise over other pathway analysis options for two main reasons," said Kozo Kawahara, President of World Fusion, Ariadne's distributor of enterprise products in Japan. "First the scientists want the unique and key information harvesting functionality, MedScan, that enables them to update the functional relation database from PubMed as often as every day. Second, they are looking for a commercially supported Gene Set Enrichment analysis (GSEA) platform that allows them to identify pathways affected in their experiments."

"Pathway Studio Enterprise provides valuable tools that compliment traditional microarray data analysis," said David Denny, Product Manager for Pathway Studio at Ariadne. "Our customers requested implementation of GSEA and also our new Network Enrichment Algorithm, which dynamically identifies the best matching set of genes from the millions of relationships in our ResNet® database. We are glad to be the company to provide the market with these tools."

Pathway Studio Enterprise includes a central server database that is accessed via web browser or a desktop client software. A trial is available at http://www.ariadnegenomics.com.
