Friends of the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA to host Mariachi Brunch Fundraiser

Friends of the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA invite Angelinos to join the Mariachi Brunch Fundraiser this weekend.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 12, 2007 -- Friends of the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA today announced that they are hosting a Mariachi Fundraiser in Pasadena to celebrate Mexican Independence Day and benefit the YMCA on Sunday, September 16, 2007.

Families and friends from Los Angeles and surrounding communities are expected for this Sunday event with mariachi music, traditional foods and live entertainment by the YMCA members.

This group, led by Diana Ibarra, supports the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA with fundraising efforts and in sharing information on the programs and activities available to families in the community. "With a sampler of children's programs throughout the brunch, the silent auction and the help of our volunteers, we are bringing important information to our YMCA patrons and friends participating in this family-friendly fundraiser," says Ms.Ibarra.

"This YMCA provides a safe and healthy environment for adults and their children. When you visit the facility, you cannot help but notice the joy of the children taking part in their classes and the enthusiasm of the parents working out at the same time", says Leonor McCall-Rodriguez, also a Board member and President of One Voice Insurance Services.

"We are committed to helping families connect to activities that will help them stay healthy and build on their wellness education" says Ruben Corona, Director of the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA. "Today, we offer 79 classes for adults and 35 more classes for children and teenagers. We invite the public to join Friends of the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA and help us strengthen our community connection. East L.A. is such a symbol of Los Angeles, and we wish to help bring better quality of life to our community," he concludes.

The group announced that some Individual tickets are still available. For tickets, contact Yadira Caballero at (213) 639-7415 or YadiraCaballero(at)ymcala.org
