The peer-driven information resource, Link It Up!, appeared on MassiveLinks in August after nearly a year of planning, testing and secrecy. Cuffaro recently tipped his hat about MassiveLinks' evolutionary move during a recent interview on the Beginning SEO Podcast. Although Cuffaro gave little details at the time, he openly discussed evolving MassiveLinks into, "something more than a directory."
Cuffaro keeps realistic, "I am not trying to migrate to a full information portal, I'll leave that to Yahoo!" he quips. "But I do want to provide information and Internet consumers with a trusty resource to find reliable, human-reviewed information."
With "Link It Up" MassiveLinks becomes an information channel on the web, but with one additional, important factor - humans! The website enhancement will be a Web 2.0 aspect to the website, allowing the information consumer and human editors to filter the data that is found on the information resource website.
