Atlanta Advertising Agency Adds Marketing Effectiveness Award to Shelf

Atlanta ad agency, Fain & Tripp, named a winner in the Public Service Campaign category of the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award competition for their work for the Hunger Walk/Run, a project of The Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Lawrenceville, GA (PRWEB) September 13, 2007 -- Fain & Tripp, a full-service advertising agency with offices in Atlanta and Indianapolis, was named a winner in the Public Service Campaign category of the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award competition for their work for the Hunger Walk/Run, a project of The Atlanta Community Food Bank.

The Hunger Walk/Run unites Atlantans of all ages and athletic backgrounds to support hunger and poverty relief. Participants begin at Turner Field and walk or run a 5K or 10K route through downtown Atlanta.

This year's event saw a 71% increase in participants and a 46% increase in receipts, resulting in a total of 12,000 people raising $312,900 for several hunger and poverty relief organizations beyond the Food Bank itself.

"It's great to win awards for this work," says agency co-founder Russ Tripp, "but the real reward is the knowledge that our campaign effectively generated critical resources for organizations serving an important purpose in our community."

The campaign for the 2007 event was based on a grocery bag theme, integrating the theme into all aspects of the campaign including brochures, ads and t-shirts. The agency went so far as to use real paper grocery bags as posters. The posters doubled as a convenient way for Hunger Walk participants to bring their canned-good donations to the event.

"We can always count on Fain & Tripp for unique ideas that grab attention. They have been invaluable in the development and growth of the Hunger Walk/Run and several other projects here at the Food Bank. They devote so much time to working with us, we almost feel like they're on the Food Bank staff," says Leslie Hamilton, Hunger Walk/Run director.

"Creating award-winning work is easy when you've got a great client team like the crew at the Food Bank," says Kaley Thornburg, the account executive who headed the project for the agency. "The Food Bank really does a fantastic job of promoting and executing the event. All of us at Fain & Tripp are proud and fortunate to be a part of it."

The Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award win comes to Fain & Tripp on the heels of winning a number of awards for creativity.

"This win is very important to us and our clients," says Tripp. "This award proves that our work is more than just clever. It really works."
