VoicePort unveils fixed price option for hosted CircPort™ speech recognition IVR to help mid-sized newspapers better budget for circulation call costs.

VoicePort today announced a fixed price option for its hosted product, CircPort OnDemand™ at the InPUT (DTI/PBS) User Conference in Bloomington, Minnesota. The CircPort™ suite of products is the industry-leading speech recognition circulation Integrated Voice Response (IVR). CircPort automates typical circulation calls from subscribers by using advanced speech recognition to understand and automatically process caller requests.

VoicePort was the first to market with a hosted speech enabled IVR application. CircPort OnDemand allows customers to eliminate the capital outlay associated with an on premise application, paying for actual monthly usage instead. As newspapers continue to seek out ways to contain costs without impacting customer service, VoicePort has seen a steady increase in interest in its hosted solution and a rise in its hosted customer base. However, some customers have found it challenging to forecast their budget on a monthly basis due to the inherent variability of call volumes. To make it easier for small and mid-sized papers to reduce expense fluctuation, VoicePort is now offering a fixed price alternative for its CircPort OnDemand product.
