D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches today announced it has expanded its popular line of Toasted Classic Sandwiches. Since its initial rollout last fall, the Toasted Classics sandwich line has accounted for more than 10 percent of D'Angelo's overall sandwich sales. The three new Toasted Classics include: Pastrami Reuben, BBQ Steak and Spicy Meatball and will join mainstay Toasted Classics such as Tuna & Swiss Melt, Roast Beef and Cheddar Melt, and the Thanksgiving Toasted - one of D'Angelo's best-selling sandwiches. The three new sandwiches were introduced at several D'Angelo Guest Advisory Board sessions and received the highest positive feedback in taste tests.
D'Angelo is the only sandwich chain in New England to offer guests a choice of grilled, cold and toasted sandwiches. The new D'Angelo Toasted Classics were specially developed to be enhanced by the toasting process. The new Pastrami Reuben and BBQ Steak Toasted Classics highlight D'Angelo's vast grilled menu options and allow D'Angelo to present its popular Steak and Cheese in a new, innovative way.

The new sandwiches start at $4.69 for a small sandwich and range up to $7.99 for a large Toasted Classic. For a limited time, guests can purchase a small Pastrami Reuben with a coupon for $1.99, valid at participating locations. The new Toasted Classics sandwiches include the following high-quality ingredients from D'Angelo:
- Pastrami Reuben - Features Pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing
- BBQ Steak - Includes D'Angelo's USDA choice steak with BBQ sauce and sharp cheddar cheese
- Spicy Meatball - Includes Meatballs, marinara sauce, hot peppers, sliced green peppers and Provolone cheese
D'Angelo will support the new Toasted Classics launch with TV, radio, in-restaurant POP, direct mail and FSI advertising this fall. The Toasted Classics ad campaign will play up D'Angelo's toasting advantage with a new commercial featuring its new TV icon, "Sandwich Man." Following up his hit commercial with Red Sox DH David Ortiz, "Sandwich Man" will make a trip to the tanning beds to highlight D'Angelo's new Toasted Classics line. The advertisements will hit the airwaves in mid-September.
