These indestructible gun cases, gun shipping cases are designed to protect expensive or mission critical weapons such as prized shotguns or M-16s even in extreme environments within custom foam interior compartments.
One military milestone, in fact, provides room for two M-16 rifles, two M9 handguns and accessories within a pre-cut, custom foam interior. This gun case was specially designed for the U.S. Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies.
Military approved (SPEC-4150J) with airline safe ATA 300 designation, the cases are built around world-famous Pelican gun cases, offering Pelican's legendary Unconditional Lifetime Guarantee; "You break it, we replace it…Forever." The virtually indestructible outer shell, custom inner foam combination provides complete protection from transport or storage-related shock, vibration, corrosion, extreme temperature, or sand abrasion. The gun shipping cases are not only air and water tight but also dust/sand proof with an IP67 rating and can resist extreme weather from -10 to 210 °F.
Because the cushioned outer walls are constructed of one-inch thick high density polyethylene foam, this prevents the gun barrels, optics, etc. from hitting hard plastic. A unique, reusable desiccant also stops condensation, preventing rust, mildew and corrosion.
The Pelican cases meet MIL-STD 4150-J for stacking (400 lbs.), drop test (48"), immersion (2" at 160 °F), and meet or exceed the highest military, airline, industrial or commercial standards. The gun carrying cases are designed with a lightweight space-age resin unaffected by dents, scratches, or corrosion with four times the strength to weight ratio of conventional injection molding.
Once gun owners seal the Pelican cases, gun cases they're air, water, spill, and even dust proof flying at 30,000 feet or submerged 30 feet below water due to multiple latches and a neoprene "O Ring." The guns and equipment are surrounded and cushioned by a special closed cell foam designed to absorb shock, impact, and vibration. Because the closed cell foam does not absorb water and has longer shelf life, unlike open cell polyurethane, it provides continual long-term protection.
The double or single M-16 rife Pelican gun cases are pad-lockable and come with wheels for security and easy deployment. Also available as an optional accessory is the TSA Accepted Combination Lock, which expedites airport inspection, allowing airport personnel (who have special access keys) to inspect the contents of the gun carrying cases without needing to cut locks for security inspections.
