Parco Merged Media Corporation announced today the launch of its new e-commerce website. The website can be accessed directly from any Internet browser by typing the URL buynow.parcowireless.com or accessed from the Parco website. The Parco BuyNow website features Parco products and third party manufacturers. Products include hardware and software solutions required to support successful implementations of locating and tracking systems.
"We started receiving requests from customers for easier methods to buy our products. The result is this e-commerce site which enables on-line shipping of software and keys; and next day shipping of hardware. The addition of this tool enables us to reach our customers in a new medium on a 24 x 7 basis," says Scott Cohen, President & CEO of Parco Merged Media Corp. The website uses Internet based shopping cart technology and a full array of payment methods are accepted. Parco is able to provide special lease rates to qualified purchasers.
Parco is offering third party products for download and delivery. One of the on-line deliveries is a special link to Yugma Web Conferencing. This free to download file contains the details to receive the free rate offered through Parco's affiliation. Yugma is a web collaboration service that enables people to instantly connect over the internet to communicate and share content and ideas. Popular uses include hosting virtual meetings, presenting proposals, product demonstrations, conducting training, customer service, team reviews, remote support and troubleshooting.
Another featured item exclusive to Parco is its new low cost Précis Wireless Access Point Enclosure. This patent pending line of enclosures comes in two basic sizes: 12 inches by 12 inches and 22 inches by 22 inches. A variety of mounting options are available: ceiling (hard and suspended), wall and pole (top and bottom.) The 22 inch model replaces a ceiling tile. The enclosures include features which allow them to be used both inside and outside in very harsh environments. All of the Parco enclosures are designed to meet IBC Section 1613 earthquake requirements, ICBO codes for seismic installation and NFPA codes for ceiling-grid installation. The unique design of the internal chassis enables the unit to be adjusted to support a variety of missions. Chassis mounts are available to support UWB Readers, Wireless WiFi Access Points, exciters/field generators and other devices.
Other products featured on the site include laptops, servers and Ethernet switches from major manufacturers. There is a section of the site dedicated to services required to support location system installation and implementation.
In addition to useful products, Parco BuyNow includes features such as searching, wish lists and Live Help. Live Help is an instant messaging interface that connects visitors to support personnel. Operators are available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm EST. When a user clicks on the Live Help button the message is immediately routed to the operator who can interactively respond to the question. In the case the operator is offline, the user's message will be queued in email for response on the next business day.
Cohen concludes, "We have designed the site using the latest technology to support both retail and wholesale customers. For Parco this is an automation process which reduces each transaction's cost burden. We are able to pass these savings along as better prices for our customers."
