Tropi-Ties Swimwear 2008 Does it Green
California based swimwear company, Tropi-Ties, has included some green alternatives this year in their 2008 swimwear collection, including a hemp/bamboo group and swimsuits that are hand printed on textiles made from recycled materials.
(PRWEB) September 16, 2007 -- This spring, Tropi-Ties Swimwear will be offering their eco-conscious collection of swimsuits and bikinis for women and teens. The 2008 collection includes the, "Environmentally Sound," group of swimsuits, made from a soft, stretch, hemp fabric, trimmed off in cotton fringe and bamboo accents. Sustainably grown hemp is one of the best renewable resources for textiles today, since it can be grown and harvested quickly and used in a myriad of ways.

The styles from this group are made from a luxurious, stretch, hemp fabric that has a very soft and cozy feel; not at all what you would expect from this fiber, which in its earlier years was rough and scratchy. Some styles are set off with rings made from natural bamboo; harvested from managed, sustainable forests. All of the hemp swimsuits are also embellished with cotton fringe and tassels, making them a cute and fun eco-package.
Also, included in the collection are a group of hand printed swimsuits that are done on a fabric made from recycled products such as plastic bottles and other renewable resources. Again, the feel and texture of these fabrics is soft, yet durable enough to hold up to the rigors of water sports and sun. The poly based fabrics will also hold dyes very well, making them an excellent choice for swimsuit use.
