Chicago, IL (Billboard Publicity Wire/PRWEB ) September 14, 2007 -- Dream tu Dance is proud to present. 'Simply Beautiful'. Kicks off it's Fall Tour Season beginning with a preview on Saturday, September 15th and continuing throughout the US and selected International Dates
"Simply Beautiful" blends artistic entertainment while exploring and celebrating of women of color through urban contemporary dance and poetry. The performance looks to give a refreshing and positive perspective on femininity in pop culture. A dance nouveau, it fuses high-energy forms of jazz, ballet, hip-hop and African dance to take you on an enlightening dance experience.
"I want to bridge the gap between street and artistic dance which will provide fans, artists, and performers with a choice by giving dancers a platform to express themselves through the art of movement," said Andrea Kelly, Artistic Director of Dream tu Dance. "I want to work with performers who are willing to push the envelope and step outside of the "hip-hop dance" box.
The evening will also include performances by Chicago poets Stevan Evans, M'Reld (Def Poetry) and the DuWayne Pendarvis Company.
Tickets for Dream tu Dance's "Simply Beautiful" are $25 pre-sale and $30 at the door. Tickets may be purchased online at www.dreamtudance.net
Student rush tickets, subject to availability, are offered to all College students with a valid ID one hour prior to Showtime for $15.
About Choreographer Andrea Kelly:
She is the founder and Artistic Director of Dream tu Dance and the Andrea Kelly School of Dance. Mrs. Kelly is most notably recognized for choreographic work in Music entertainment for R&B recording artist R.Kelly. Andrea has extensive choreography and dance resume including music videos, award shows, touring and International performances.
