Major Record Labels Seek New Talent at New York Showcase

Alpha Music Group to host major record label showcase and networking event on October 15, 2007 in New York. Record labels confirmed to attend are Atlantic Records, Universal Records, Capitol Records and Koch Entertainment. Music Industry VIP tickets and Media Passes are available by request.

AMG ( will host a major record label showcase and networking event, Monday, October 15th at Don Hills in New York. The event is a kick-off for New York's CMJ Music Marathon. Six of of the finest artists and bands in the U.S. and Canada will perform original material. This not-to-be-missed showcase will include performances by Skye Claire, Lucky Spaulding, Taylor McKenna, The Hannah Wolf Band, Floor Thirteen, and Honor by August. Confirmed to attend are senior representatives from Atlantic Records, Universal Records, Capitol Records and Koch Entertainment. In addition to AMG's roster, artists from Astral Records and Big Noise Productions will also perform.

Floor Thirteen:

Presented by AMG Management, Floor Thirteen has reached millions through live performance, television appearances and CD sales. Lead singer Jeremy Koz rose to the top of Canadian Idol as two million fans tuned in to hear his hard-edge rock style vocals. In Hollywood, Koz was featured in ROCK STAR: INXS. In 2007, Mazda's marketing team chose Floor Thirteen's song "Night Train" to be their on-line theme song. The Sci-Fi Network licensed the high-energy single "Bright Light Rockin'City" for the movie Grizzly Rage. Every Barnes and Noble store across the U.S., 800 stores in 50 states, carried "Call Me What You Will" which sold-out. Astral Records issued a license for "Night Train" and "Jenny Lane" for their Dead Famous Compilation Series. The Inside Connection Radio Show selected "Call Me What You Will" broadcasted to 1,200,000 households. Honor by August:

Taylor McKenna:

Since the debut of his self titled album in 2006 Taylor Mckenna has accumulated a myriad of praise and accomplishments. Soon after its release, Taylor's first album won him the "Emerging Artist" slot on the 2006 Virgin College Mega Tour where he shared the stage with Yellowcard and Mae. The Virgin College Mega Tour was an 18 city nationwide tour. Taylor's music is on rotation: Alexa Digital Radio, New Artist Radio (The Independent Nation), Indie Artist Radio (Indie Limelight Radio Show), 103.7 Radio L.A., Radio Crystal Blue, Band Radio, Streetblast Radio, Celtica Radio, Toolshed Music Network, Outbound Music. He has been a featured artist on compilation CD's "Small Guy Music", "Rock the Troops", "Radio Band Compilation, 111, "Shmusicmusic Austin 2007". Taylor has performed in several festivals including the "Heart of Texas Quadruple Bypass", "Midpoint Music Festival", and the "Dewey Beach Music Festival." Taylor Mckenna has over 12 years of classical training and musical theory expertise heard in his songs which have received rave reviews from the music industry.

The Hannah Wolf Band:

From the roster of Astral Records, Hannah Wolf is a versatile and multi talented singer, songwriter and performer who transcends today's musical boundary's with songs of longing, hope and a need to express the individual in all of us. Hannah's material takes the best of the best, Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Alanis Morisette and Nancy Wilson and moulds into a fresh and unique style that is delivered with verve and precision. Originating out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Hannah and her eclectic band are off to a fast start in gaining popularity on their road to independent success. The band has been busy securing a local and national following, promoting a sophomore album and constantly searching for unique sounds to separate them from the masses.Hannah Wolff has written, funded and co-produced two full-length studio albums; the first "Striving Toward Harmony" and the newly released "One Afternoon," featuring Allan Vest of the Starlight Mints (courtesy of Barsuk Records). Both albums were engineered and produced by Trent Bell of Bell Labs in Norman, Oklahoma. Bell (former guitar player for the Chainsaw Kittens) has worked with artists such as the Starlight Mints, the Flaming Lips, Toby Keith, Steve Burns, Christina Ricci and many more; Bell's work has also been Grammy-nominated. The Hannah Wolff Band's following continues to grow. The band has been filling local and national venues (including The Viper Room in Hollywood, CA, the Icehouse in Las Vegas Nevada etc.).

Lucky Spaulding:

From the roster of Big Noise Productions, Lucky Spaulding has been performing, writing, and recording original music since the age of seven. He has become a household name in the Midwest music scene. Lucky founded the reggae band 'Zionites', which swiftly became the hottest act in the region. The ultra-smooth style of Lucky's music earned him a string of awards including three C.E.A / Cammys (Cincinnati) Awards. He is Influenced by the music of Bob Marley, Prince, and Stevie Wonder. Lucky displays a natural ear for the vast wealth of World, Latin, and Eastern music whicht has recently hit the mainstream. A two-page article about Lucky was included in the 2003 edition of Songwriters Market in which the editor Ian Bessler talked with Lucky about his first two solo releases (Living-2000, Dinosaur Love-2001). Lucky was hired by Nick Lachey and and Justin Jeffrie (of 98* fame) to play a string of summer events in 2004. In 2005 Lucky joined the Cincinnati soul band 'Low Key' and quickly melded his reggae roots with the R&B sounds of his band-mates: Michael Shearer, Nate Clark, Ian Hudgins, Joel "Crank-J" Cotton, and Brian Losekamp.

Skye Claire

On the roster of Big Noise Productions, young Skye Claire has recorded two EP's, written over 40 songs, and has become a favorite on the U.S. college scene. She has appeared in some of New York's best venues including The Bitter End, The Knitting Factory, The Sidewalk Cafe, Piano's, and The Lion's Den. A prolific songwriter, Skye received honorable mention for her talent in the Billboard Songwriting Contest. She was honored as a featured artist on the rise in Star Polish. Star Polish is an organization with an A&R Panel of over 40 respected music industry executives from both the major and independent corners of the industry. The purpose of the panel is to discover promising new artists. Her discography includes her self titled first 5 song EP "Skye". The single "Left of This" is featured on and on Verizon VCAST. The EP is also available on ITUnes, Musicnet, and Eharmony. Her second EP "Good Boys Don't" was released this October. Skye delivers seven songs about teenage love, loss and life in the big city.
