HyPerformix, Inc.® today announced important updates to its Predictive IT Management™ Suite, a set of solutions for the management and optimization of mission critical business applications. The products provide IT with the insight necessary to make informed decisions on the best choices for infrastructure and application optimization, and to guarantee ongoing service levels to the business.

Major features of the new releases include support for virtualization and SOA, enhanced data collection automation from SAP landscapes and other sources, and enhanced best practice methodologies.

Capacity Manager™, a prescriptive, automated system for IT investment decision support and capacity planning, now includes support for migration to virtualized servers running VMware, HP-UX, IBM AIX, and Sun Solaris. Capacity Manager's prescriptive features allow portfolio managers, business analysts and capacity planners to know how virtualized environments will perform, expected cost savings, and how long the configuration will continue to meet business requirements.

According to Forrester, "Adoption of server virtualization has accelerated dramatically in North America since 2005, with 51% of enterprises now using or piloting the technology." "Every IT organization intuitively knows they need to reduce the cost of maintenance on current systems so they can afford to support new business initiatives," said Bruce Milne, vice president of products and marketing for HyPerformix. Data Manager™, a centralized database for the efficient management and sharing of capacity and performance data, has been enhanced with automated data collection, scheduling and validation features.
