Superbreak Storm China's Terracotta Army in London

Short break specialists Superbreak are offering exclusive packages for the Chinese Terracotta Army exhibition at the British Museum this September.

York, UK (PRWEB) September 20, 2007 -- China's Terracotta Army arrived at the British Museum on 13th September and is displayed as a unique exhibition showcasing a portion of the great hidden army. The Terracotta Army has been called one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th century and those Britons not wishing to travel to the other side of the globe to see this fascinating piece of China's history can now visit the British Museum to see the exhibit.

There is little doubt that many will be traveling to the capital specifically to see the exhibition. Anticipating this, short break specialist Superbreak (http://www.superbreak.com/ ) has a range of packages that combine overnight accommodation with a timed entrance ticket to the exhibition which is likely to sell out quickly.

According to the British Museum website, objects featured in the exhibition, which runs until 6 April 2008, include a number of the world-famous terracotta warriors from Xi'an, China, which were buried alongside the First Emperor in readiness for the afterlife, as well as some of the most striking recent discoveries made on the site. In introducing the idea of a unified state and effectively creating China in 221BC, the First Emperor of Quin created what is today the oldest surviving political entity in the world. How that state has survived, developed and is viewed today will be explored through events, lectures and debates around the exhibition.

The Superbreak website offers booking and location information for over 100 London hotels (http://www.superbreak.com/london.htm ), many within minutes' walk of the British Museum. Superbreak are running exclusive short break packages in tandem with the China Terracotta Army exhibition, with deals available at many hotels in Bloomsbury and Russell Square (http://www.superbreak.com/browse/hotels-LO5.htm ).

Superbreak also offers a ticket buying service for other famous London attractions that can be bought online via their website whilst booking their accommodation before even stepping foot in the capital.
