ACHeck21™ LLC wins copyright lawsuit
Ownership of industry-leading proprietary software is affirmed on behalf of ACHeck21 LLC.
Lake St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) September 20, 2007 -- ACHeck21, LLC, a leading provider of end-to-end, Check 21-compliant processing systems, announces the successful conclusion of a lawsuit in federal district court affirming the company's sole ownership over the underlying source code behind its industry-leading software, ACHeck21™.
An order signed by federal District Judge James A. Teilborg (Case No. CV-07-0210-JAT) affirms that ACHeck21 LLC is the sole legal copyright holder for Checkdata, a predecessor software platform.
In January 2007, ACHeck21 filed suit in federal district court in Phoenix, AZ after two individuals in Arizona made representations that they had an ownership interest in Checkdata. Subsequent discussions among the parties since the filing of the lawsuit revealed that the defendants' ownership representations were without merit.
