Through this implementation, Air Force Space Command has a robust, scalable solution that can greatly reduce the amount of work developers need to perform
Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) September 20, 2007
Objectivity, Inc., the leading provider of object-oriented real-time data management platforms for software applications with complex data management challenges, has partnered with MITRE Corporation to produce a complimentary webinar exploring how emerging data management technology can help the C4ISTAR community manage the ever-increasing volume, velocity and variety of data it receives.
The webinar will feature Terry Rorabaugh and Larry Grimaldi, MITRE systems engineers who will discuss how their team is using Objectivity/DB to develop a prototype for a highly-scalable cluster application on behalf of - and for demonstration to - the Air Force Space Command.
Rorabaugh has more than 20 years of experience developing hardware and software solutions for both military and commercial applications. His primary focus has been on high-performance distributed systems for mission-critical applications.
Grimaldi has 30 years of experience supporting numerous Command and Control and space-related acquisition programs. During his career, Grimaldi has served as project lead for multiple U.S. Air Force Electronic System Center (ESC) projects, including the Space Defense Operations Center (SPADOC) and the Cheyenne Mountain Upgrade (CMU).
Rorabaugh and Grimaldi will specifically address how MITRE solved a performance bottleneck problem using Objectivity/DB as part of a parallel processing solution.
"Through this implementation, Air Force Space Command has a robust, scalable solution that can greatly reduce the amount of work developers need to perform," Rorabaugh said.
The webinar will take place Tuesday, September 25 at 9 a.m. PST. Participants can register at http://www.objectivity.com/0907Webinar .
