Combination of NetBlender's DoStudio with Corel's PureHD Authoring Multiplexer creates a complete HD DVD authoring solution at an affordable price

Corel Corporation (NASDAQ:CREL; TSX:CRE), a leading developer of graphics, productivity and digital media software, and NetBlender today announced the release of DoStudio MX, the complete HD DVD authoring solution that combines Corel's PureHD™ Authoring Multiplexer with NetBlender's industry first visual editor for creating Advanced Content.

"We are excited to release DoStudio MX to our global developer group," said John Harrington, NetBlender CEO. "Our beta group included HD DVD authorers in 16 countries who offered some terrific feedback. We are confident that we have created the very best HD DVD authoring solution on the market and we are committed to growing the product even further over the next year."

DoStudio's intelligent framework dramatically reduces development and testing time, particularly for projects that include complex animations or scripting while maximizing compatibility with all HD DVD players.

"This is what I call Authoring 2.0; it is the next step in next-gen media production," said Niran Huesing of Nixbu Entertainment in Hamburg Germany. "Using a smart script generating tool is simply much more efficient to create complex scenarios. Using DoStudio speeds up programming at least by factor 20, it is much more authoring than software development."

"We are pleased to partner with NetBlender to provide professional users with the tools and flexibility they demand to drive their creativity to new levels," said Blaine Mathieu, VP and GM, Products and Strategy, Corel Digital Media. "At Corel, our focus is on building engaging and rewarding experiences for our users with solutions that minimize complexity and maximize creativity."

The first commercial titles created with DoStudio MX will hit store shelves in Europe by the end of this month. DoStudio MX is available for download and purchase at: for a monthly subscription fee of $249 US/month. Blu-ray multiplexing with BD-J will be available later in 2007.
