RateMDs.com and NDDB.net Combine Doctor Ratings

Two of the Internet's largest websites for user-submitted doctor ratings combine forces.

Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) September 26, 2007 -- RateMDs.com (http://ratemds.com) and Nddb.net announced today that they have joined their user-submitted doctor ratings into one large database, combining to create the largest source of free doctor ratings on the Internet. RateMDs.com was founded in 2004 and Nddb.net was founded separately in 2005.

Visitors to the new, combined site can share their medical experiences with other patients, and search for a doctor that best meets their needs. Ratings consist of several numerical categories ranked between one and five, as well as free-form comments.

John Swapceinski, co-founder of RateMDs.com, said, "The founder of Nddb.net approached me with the idea of combining our two doctor ratings databases into a single website, to benefit patients by making it easier for them to research and rate their doctors. We thought the idea was terrific, and both our companies have worked hard to make it a reality."

Joanne Wong, president of RateMDs, added, "Nddb.net has contributed almost 10,000 ratings of U.S. doctors to our already large database of physician ratings. Our hope is that patients will find our website even more helpful in finding a doctor that is optimal for them."

The RateMDs.com brand will be used going forward, but the Nddb.net domain can still be used to access the website. The new, combined database currently consists of over 350,000 ratings for physicians in the U.S. and Canada, and is growing by over 500 ratings per day.; over 40,000 U.S. doctors are now rated. Over 10,000 users per day access the website, and traffic has at least doubled each year since the site's founding.
