Best Places to Work in New Jersey
Eatontown, NJ (PRWEB) September 21, 2007
Lanmark Group, a full-service, business-to-business, advertising, marketing and communications agency specializing in brand empowerment for the healthcare industry, has significantly expanded its regulatory compliance capabilities by forming a multi-disciplinary compliance department.
The Lanmark compliance department is comprised of key members of the full-service agency's marketing, public relations, account services, creative, production and interactive services departments.
"Regulatory compliance at Lanmark is now an integrated, company-wide commitment," said company president and owner Howard Klein. "Every department is tasked with knowing and conforming to the latest regulatory guidelines set by the FDA and other regulatory entities such as the FDA and PhRMA. The result will be a fully compliant product, whether it is an ad, exhibit sign, press release, web page or a sell sheet."
Lanmark's compliance department is headed by its vice president of marketing and regulatory affairs, Michael A. Caiafa, a 20-year pharmaceutical and medical device marketing veteran who has worked with industry giants such as Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer and Bayer.
"I'm extremely pleased with the high level of support that we're receiving from company president Howard Klein, as well as Lanmark's managing partner and chief creative officer, Michael McCarthy," commented Caiafa. "Not only are they making a huge commitment in time and human resources, they've also established a separate budget to supply the compliance department with the training and reference tools we need to stay on top of emerging regulatory issues."
"Howard and I are serious about providing Lanmark clients with sound strategic counsel and compliant communications materials," explained McCarthy. "This is a top-down mandate with cross-organizational buy-in. Our expanded regulatory compliance capabilities will not only benefit our pharma and medical device clients, but particularly our dental industry clients, who are experiencing increased regulatory restrictions on product claims."
The Lanmark compliance department includes Michael A. Caiafa, vice president of marketing and regulatory affairs; Derek Van Volkom, vice president of account services; Ed Yasser, director of interactive services; Michael Ventriello, public relations manager; Joe Maida, technical writer; Andy McKay, editor/proofreader; and Jennifer Lilley, copywriter.
