Water Coolers Direct have decided to start selling Water Boilers via a new online store located at Water Boilers Direct. The company believe that the business will sit well alongside its range of water coolers making up the normal shortfall in leads during the cold winter months.
Formed in March 2004 as a reaction to onerous water cooler rental contracts the company offers the option of buying water coolers outright. Water Coolers Direct now has a loyal customer base of over 5,000 business's including 'Thames Valley Health Authority', 'Havana International Bank', 'Mowlem Technical Services', 'Westminster School Library' and also over 900 home customers.
The company believes that it has identified 3 Key areas where the existing Water Boiler competition fall short:
- Many of the completion are offering the boilers alongside other products on the same site, as a result the information on each product is unclear making it difficult for the prospective customer to make a decision
- The competition have largely failed to identify the key selling points of each boiler and fail to marry up the needs of the prospective customer with the information on the website
- The competition are offering a large range of products often in a counter mingled state making it even more difficult for the prospective customer to make a decision
As well as offering sections for each boiler type and ensuring clear product differentiation on a dedicated website Water Boilers Direct are also offering filters alongside the range of boilers. The filters inhibit scale and reduce the level of chlorine in the water as a result the customer will be able to protect their machine from scale damage and enjoy water free from bad tastes and odours.

Although we don't see Water Boilers Direct setting the world on fire we do think that this will keep our sales force more active during the slower winter period"
The company envisages that the key to the success of the website will be to offer the boilers to it's existing customers. Water Coolers Direct also envisage the new boilers sitting as companion products to their range of coolers, the boiler being able to achieve higher temperatures than most water coolers currently on the market. Martin Booth the Sales Director of Water Coolers Direct said "Many of our existing coolers are capable of only reaching 85ºc which is ideal for coffee but not great for tea. The water boilers will give our staff the option of offering the water boilers as a bolt on product for those companies who cant afford our high end corporate water cooler, or who would prefer to site hot water machines in a kitchen area" he went on to say "…We are expecting that the clear language of Water Boilers Direct will work well in the existing water boilers marketplace where we hope in time to build the Water Boilers Direct arm into a successful business in it's own right."
