Untours, the company specializing in vacation rental packages to Europe has just announced two new destinations for the upcoming season. Starting in 2008, Untours will offer programs in Barcelona and Florence.
"Our travelers have been asking for these destinations for a long time, and we are pleased to offer them both as two-week Untours and as Samplers, two-weeks, with each week in a different location," said Brian Taussig-Lux, Untours General Manager.
The new locations, both rich in history, culture, and renowned attractions, are a natural fit for Untours. Travelers will stay in flats in dynamic neighborhoods where they can immerse themselves in daily life while exploring the area at their own pace.
The following are sample prices: 2 weeks in Florence start at $2,689; 2 weeks in Barcelona start at $2,849; and the Florence-Rome-Venice Sampler (one week in each location) starts at $4,479. Prices are per person, double occupancy and include round-trip airfare from New York, ground transportation, transfer assistance, fully equipped apartment(s), trip planning materials, and on-site staff support.
For more than 33 years, Untours has been a leader in independent travel with their affordable vacation packages to Europe. Destinations include Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland.
All Untours include optional round-trip airfare, 14 nights in a fully furnished vacation rental (cottage, flat, or farmhouse), ground transportation (car rental, train pass, or city transit tickets), transfer assistance, and on-site help.
Named as one of the world's top ten travel bargains by Arthur Frommer, Untours donates nearly all of its profits to charitable causes across the globe through its own foundation, the Untours Foundation. Over the course of its 15-year existence, the foundation has distributed $5 million to various projects around the world in the form of low interest loans.
Why Untours is unique
Untours offers the perfect balance between do-it-yourself travel and tour bus travel. Their reputation for providing quality vacation rentals and excellent customer service during the pre-departure stage takes the hassle out of trip planning. The destinations themselves are chosen for the wide variety of activities available so that there is never a shortage of things to do. After arriving, travelers attend an extensive orientation meeting which covers tips for getting around, a calendar of events for their time period, and suggestions for day trips. Then, travelers are free to do what they want, when they want, where they want knowing that Untours staff are always present and available throughout their stay in case questions or problems arise.
