The leading online poker room Absolute Poker has reached new heights with its Bad Beat Jackpot promotion, attracting more and more Texas Holdem poker fans.

Poker Players worldwide are flocking to Absolute Poker to play Bad Beat Jackpot

When it comes to attracting Texas Hold'em poker players to the online poker tables, Absolute Poker definitely has the chip lead. As of Wednesday afternoon ET, the jackpot of Absolute Poker's popular Bad Beat Jackpot game had reached at an impressive $300,000. That number is nearly 10 times as big as Party Poker's Bad Beat Jackpot, which sat at just over $31,000. Party Poker, however, is not open to US players.

"Poker Players worldwide are flocking to Absolute Poker to play Bad Beat Jackpot," stated David Clainer, Senior Vice President for Absolute Poker. "The jackpot is constantly increasing and it's only a matter of time before it bursts once again."

Bad Beat Jackpot is just like regular Texas Hold'em Poker but with a slight twist. When seated at a Bad Beat Jackpot poker table, if a player loses a Texas Hold'em poker hand while holding four 8s or anything better, they will win a chunk of the Bad Beat Jackpot.

To help the jackpot build, $0.50 is collected from qualifying hands at Bad Beat Jackpot poker tables. The jackpot will keep growing until someone hits a qualifying bad beat, at which time a large percentage of it is distributed amongst the bad beat victim and the participants in the online poker hand.

On August 29th at 08:43 ET, the biggest Bad Beat Jackpot in online poker history was won when KADI, a Texas Hold'em poker player from Australia, lost a 10-high Straight Flush to a King-high Straight Flush. Seated at one of Absolute Poker's Bad Beat Jackpot tables, KADI's losing hand netted her $267,042.97 in cash. The pot winner walked away with $133,521.48 and the participants in the hand each earned $33,380.37.

Most recently, on September 14th, HH9302 walked away with $93,897.29 after hitting Absolute Poker's $288.914.70 Bad Beat Jackpot.

The next poker player to lose a hand holding four 8s or anything better will win a large piece of the new jackpot. The participants in the bad beat hand will also share in the winnings.
