Supercircuits Unveils World's Smallest Full Featured DVR System - Designed for Covert Concealment Inside the Smallest of Objects

Supercircuits, a leading manufacturer and distributor of video surveillance equipment, today introduced the world's smallest self-contained video recorder / playback system. Designed for covert operations, Supercircuits new video system can be concealed into the smallest of objects including soda cans, thermostats, clocks, as well as wearable covert gear.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) September 28, 2007 -- Continuing the company's tradition of delivering ground-breaking technology, industry leading price points, and superior customer experience, Supercircuits, a leading manufacturer and distributor of video surveillance equipment, today introduced the world's smallest self-contained video recorder / playback system. Designed for covert operations, Supercircuits new video system can be concealed into the smallest of objects including soda cans, thermostats, clocks, as well as wearable covert gear.

In the smallest configurations the video security system features the company's PC-208, (the world's smallest color video camera), and Supercircuits' newly released micro-DVR, measuring less than 2" x 2", allowing for concealment in virtually any object or appliance. The micro-DVR is fully featured - including full resolution 30fps recording, motion detection for recording only when movement is detected, playback directly from the device controlled via IR remote, and a removable SD memory card for playback on a computer. Both the camera and DVR are powered by either a hard wired power supply for 24/7 operation, or an optional rechargeable lithium battery, providing hours of completely self-contained covert surveillance.

"Supercircuits' has a tradition of bringing to market record-breaking technology including the world's smallest color camera featured in the 2007 Guinness Book of Records and now the world's smallest DVR. The combination of these two products gives customers a truly unique solution at a great price, backed by our world class service and support," said Mark Thompson, chief executive officer for Supercircuits.

Safeguarding Businesses with Covert Surveillance Technology

Covert surveillance systems have been used for years by professionals including those in law enforcement, private investigation, the armed forces and the media industry. In addition, covert devices have endless capabilities for nearly any commonplace business or home including personal use for nanny cams, retail businesses employing hidden cameras to nab shoplifters, and corporate businesses keeping an eye on employees.

For Merlin Friesenhahn, a loyal Supercircuits customer who owns several convenience stores, covert video was the answer to his security needs. "Having the covert cameras allowed me to really watch what my employees were doing and how they were handling the cash. Most of my theft problems come from within, so it's nice to know I can get a real sense of what's happening in my stores when I'm not there and with just a small amount of investment. Covert cameras are the perfect solution to capture criminal activity after the traditional security measures are disabled," said Friesenhahn.

Availability & Pricing

The MDVR14UG is available as a full-featured, self-contained recording upgrade to many of the covert products Supercircuits offers, affordably priced at $250 for non-wearable and $350 for wearable covert gear. Please call a Supercircuits sales consultant for details.

To see a live demonstration of the world's smallest self-contained video security system, please visit Supercircuits at ASIS in Las Vegas, September 24 - 27, in Booth #2075.
